The fastest way to reach us is the phone: 0423 345 575, answered 24 hours a day for emergencies. For quotes and non-urgent work, fill in the form with a few details about the job: suburb, what's happening, and any photos help us quote accurately. We respond to every enquiry, usually within the hour during business hours. You can also email us directly at info@melbplumbingservices.com.au.
What to tell us when you get in touch
The more we know up front, the more accurate the price and the faster the response. Useful details include:
- Your suburb, and whether it is a house, unit, apartment or commercial site
- What is actually happening, and when it started
- Whether water is still running or you have already isolated it
- Rough age of the property, if you know it
- A photo or short video of the problem area, which often saves an inspection visit
What happens after you contact us
For emergencies we talk you through making the site safe while a plumber is dispatched, so the damage stops before we arrive. For everything else, we confirm the details, book a time that suits you, and give you an upfront price before any work starts. If something unexpected turns up once work begins, we stop and talk to you before doing anything extra.
You will deal with the plumber doing the job rather than a call centre, and the person who quotes the work is accountable for it.
Before you call in an emergency
If water is escaping and you can safely reach the isolation valve for that fixture, turn it off. If not, the main shut-off is usually at the water meter near the front boundary. For a hot water leak, there is a separate cold-water isolation valve on the inlet of the unit. If you smell gas, do not use switches or naked flames, ventilate the area, turn off the gas at the meter if you can do so safely, and call us straight away.
Hours and coverage
We answer the phone 24 hours a day, seven days a week, every day of the year, and cover all of metropolitan Melbourne. Quotes are free and carry no obligation.
